Job description

Job responsibilities

• Ensures maximum security of all storeroom areas and that no unauthorized persons enter the stores
• Ensure cleanliness of store areas and ascertains that all perishable and non-perishable items are stored under ideal conditions in terms of temperature, humidity, shelf life and hygiene
• Inspects all incoming materials and verifies quantity with purchase orders
• Ensures that goods received are of the same quality and quantity ordered, reports cases of non-delivery and sub-standard deliveries to the Financial Controller and Purchase Manager Stores all received materials in its designated locations
• Receives store requisitions and ensures that all issues are made against requisitions, and that no items leave the storeroom without the appropriate approval signature
• Performs the filing of all store issues and goods receipt notes
• Updates the system on all items issued on daily basis.

Ensure that par stock levels are maintained and properly updated depending on the level of occupancy and supply conditions. Place orders for items based on the present minimum stock levels. Make recommendations on the par stocking levels. Informs Purchasing Manager and relevant department heads on slow and non-moving items. Calls the attention of all concerned (in writing) regarding expiring of goods well in advance. Participate in the stock count of store items and operating equipment’s.

Enter month end physical stock take in the Material Control and investigate any variances. Prepare monthly consumption report for all the stores and check for accuracy. Follow up with purchasing pending items for delivery. Prepares report on all spoiled and broken items. Maintains the store area clean and organized. Profile Responsible for all the stores in the Maison, and ensures that inventory system is updated on daily, weekly, monthly basis.

Ensures that all the stores are maintained clean and hygienic.
