Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe.

That includes: Carry out all assigned duties safely and in compliance with all statutory regulations, local procedures, and site-specific requirements. Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Assignment Instructions, local induction training, and established site processes at all times. Manage and monitor contractors working within the prison environment, ensuring all personnel, equipment, and tools are accounted for and controlled safely.

Control access and egress throughout the prison in accordance with SOPs and security requirements. Complete and maintain all required documentation accurately and in line with SOP standards. Ensure work areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and security at all times. Identify, assess, and report potential risks or safety concerns within the workplace, taking proactive measures to maintain a safe environment.

Demonstrate and promote Securitas' Core Values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness in all interactions and duties. Comply with all company policies, procedures, and mandatory training requirements, ensuring safety remains a priority in all activities. Support the safe and secure operation of the prison environment by maintaining professional standards and following established security protocols. Qualifications

What we’re looking for

Ideally, you’ll have: SIA Licence Excellent organisational and time management skills. Demonstrable experience of delivering a high standard of customer service. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work independently using own initiative and work effectively as part of a team.

Honest, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential information with discretion. Able to provide a 5-year checkable employment and/or education history. Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle. Willing and able to successfully complete required vetting, including: Level 2 Home Office Enhanced Vetting, Enhanced DBS Check, National Security CTC Clearance (depending on location this may vary) Previous experience working within a prison, custodial, or secure environment.
