Machine Operator - Days!

Job description

Operate and monitor production and packaging equipment. Perform equipment startups, shutdowns, adjustments, and changeovers. Troubleshoot equipment issues and take corrective action as needed. Verify product quality, component placement, package integrity, product weights, and coding accuracy. Complete production documentation, material verification, and downtime tracking. Maintain housekeeping standards and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Communicate equipment performance and operational issues with team members and leadership. Train and assist employees as needed and perform other duties as assigned. Follow all plant safety rules, policies, and procedures. Become certified in Lockout/Tagout procedures. Maintain certifications required for powered industrial equipment, scissor lifts, ladder use, and fall protection. Complete required equipment inspections.

Wear and maintain required PPE. Report unsafe conditions immediately. Support Kraft Heinz's safety-first culture. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Strong communication skills and basic computer proficiency. Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required. Ability to obtain required operational and safety certifications. Previous manufacturing, food manufacturing, or machine operation experience preferred.

Stand and walk for up to 12 hours per shift. Frequently lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Perform repetitive motions including bending, twisting, reaching, kneeling, and squatting. Frequently climb stairs and work while wearing required PPE. Work in temperatures ranging from cold storage (0°F) to production areas (40°F). Work in environments with noise levels exceeding 85 decibels.
