As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. Modern applications are architected as distributed collections of microservices.

A service mesh is a dedicated infrastructure layer for transparently adding capabilities like observability, traffic management, and security. The CSM (Cloud Service Mesh) Platform is a critical component of Google Cloud's Service Centric Networking, acting as the foundation for AI enablements and next-generation Agentic workloads. Our mission is to create many differentiating features to allow customers to operate their microservices securely, compliantly, and scalably, regardless of the platform they run on or the type of compute infrastructure they need.
