As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward. With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

Mission

To redefine the boundaries of cloud efficiency and security by evolving the virtualization layer for Technical Infrastructure (TI). By investing in Cloud Hypervisor (CHV) as our primary Rust-based Virtual Machine Monitor (VMM), we aim to provide a streamlined, reduced-surface-area environment for creating VMs on TI hosts. Beyond the VMM, we are deepening our focus on hardware-level isolation and I/O performance. This includes sophisticated IOMMU (Input-Output Memory Management Unit) integration to secure DMA and interrupt remapping, ensuring hardware devices remain strictly confined to guest-specific memory regions.
