As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward. Our team develops the node and distributed system software, firmware, tools, and testing frameworks essential for integrating Accelerators—such as GPUs, TPUs, and Video Transcoder Accelerators—into the Google Data Center).

By supporting these and other emerging domain-specific systems, we enable machine learning and high-performance workloads for both internal services like Gemini and YouTube, and for Google Cloud customers. This senior software engineering position offers a unique opportunity to influence the entire stack, from the hardware-software interface and computer architecture to the deployment of advanced AI systems. In this role, you will be a versatile engineer with deep expertise in how workloads utilize accelerators and a strong focus on quality and reliability throughout the manufacturing and deployment life-cycle.
