Job description

How should global money work? How do you take a complex, stressful experience and make it simple, calming even? How do you challenge the way it’s always been done? How do you collaborate in a human-centred way to ship work you’re truly proud of? These are just a few of the challenges a Senior Content Designer will work on as part of Wise’s global mission to build an open, fair, and human financial system.

Right now we move £6 billion every month for over 12 million people. But we're only 2% done — because people without borders deserve money without borders.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll shape how millions of customers spend with Wise, at home and around the world. Crafting clear, compelling experiences you'll help customers navigate complex moments with confidence — turning complicated financial, operational, and risk-related concepts into simple, actionable, rewarding experiences. This role sits within our Spend squad. You'll work closely with Product, Design, Engineering, Data, and Operations to ensure customers always know what's happening with their money and what to do next.

You'll also be part of the Content Guild, and will regularly collaborate with the content community across Wise.

Here’s how you’ll contribute

Get to know our customers, building empathy and a deep understanding of their needs

  • Use your expertise to discover, design, and deliver simple, beautifully crafted, intuitive experiences that customers love
  • Influence teams and stakeholders to increase customer-centeredness, creativity, and content quality across the squad
  • Work with designers from other squads to build a single, seamless experience for customers Here’s how you’ll contribute: Get to know our customers, building empathy and a deep understanding of their needs
  • Work with designers from other squads to build a single, seamless experience for customers This role will give you the opportunity to: Deliver impact and ship work you’re proud of Own content projects from end-to-end Elevate content quality — defining what good looks like in the squad, then helping deliver it Be part of a positive change in the world.

We’re fixing a broken, greedy system, and putting people and businesses in control of their money About you: You’re an accomplished Senior Content Designer with experience shipping world-class consumer products You’re comfortable navigating complexity and ambiguity — and can successfully collaborate in this environment You’re highly empathetic, both to customers and the people you work with Exceptional content craft and a desire for quality Willingness to give and receive constructive feedback Heads up, this probably isn’t for you if: Your experience is mostly in marketing content, advertising, copywriting, journalism or social media – and you have no hands-on experience of content design or working in UX We’re people without borders — without judgement or prejudice, too.

We want to work with the best people, no matter their background. So if you’re passionate about learning new things and keen to join our mission, you’ll fit right in. And because we believe that diverse teams build better products, we’d especially love to hear from you if you’re from an under-represented demographic.
