Job description

About the role and team Working at Uber means solving hard problems in a high-stakes, fast-moving environment. You’ll need to take ownership, stay adaptable, and build with both urgency and care. Sales at Uber means navigating ambiguity, earning trust fast, and solving problems that don’t come with a script. It’s not about pushing a product—it’s about building long-term partnerships in a fast-changing environment. Our Grocery & Retail business is focused on growth and innovation while leveraging our global scale.

As part of our Alcohol Partnerships team, you will manage strategic enterprise alcohol retailers, acting as the primary bridge between their complex needs and our internal teams. You will play a key role in growing Uber Eats' alcohol business by strengthening partnerships, identifying growth opportunities, and driving long-term success with some of our largest alcohol retail partners. This role is for those who are resilient, resourceful, and energized by the messy reality of doing big things.

If you can turn high-pressure negotiations into sustainable growth and handle the pace of a startup within a global giant, this is where you’ll grow. What you’ll do Build and grow long-term partnerships with enterprise alcohol retailers by understanding what matters most to our partners, moving beyond transactional selling. Navigate ambiguity, shifting priorities, and internal complexity to unlock value for both partners and Uber.

Manage strategic partnerships with urgency and discipline, balancing near-term growth opportunities with long-term relationship building. Adapt your strategy based on market dynamics, alcohol industry trends, and imperfect information, as there is no one-size-fits-all playbook here. Collaborate across operations, marketing, product, and legal to resolve blockers and deliver proposals that scale. Communicate clearly and stay resilient through tough negotiations and the inevitable "no" to ensure real-world impact.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of experience, ideally in Account Management, Partner Management, or client-facing roles. Professional proficiency in English. Experience managing executive-level relationships and delivering measurable business growth. Proven proficiency in using data to drive strategic decisions and solve complex problems. Experience working within or with the retail, grocery, convenience, or alcohol sectors.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in SQL for deep-dive data analysis and independent insight generation. Experience leading and coaching team members to beat performance targets. Ability to demonstrate systems thinking and thrive while navigating cross-functional tension. Background in large-scale business development or multi-stakeholder negotiations in high-growth environments. Experience working with alcohol retailers, beverage brands, or within the alcohol industry.

Responsibilities

For New York City, NY-based roles

The base salary range for this role is USD $119,000 per year - USD $132,000 per year. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
