The Manager Data Science leads the development and implementation of advanced analytics and machine learning solutions that address complex business problems. The role collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders, translates data into actionable insights, supports data-driven decision-making, and provides technical guidance to other data scientists.

Key Responsibilities

Apply mathematics, statistics, data mining, and predictive and prescriptive modeling techniques to generate meaningful insights from data. Develop and implement data science and machine learning models using specialized programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Conduct advanced statistical analyses and translate findings into practical business recommendations. Partner with cross-functional teams to define and deliver data-driven strategies and solutions.

Mentor associate and regular data scientists, providing technical guidance throughout project delivery. Monitor emerging developments in artificial intelligence and data science to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement. Communicate complex findings to stakeholders through clear reports, presentations, and data visualizations.

Qualifications

Master’s or doctoral degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. At least 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in data science or a similar role. Proficiency in Python, SQL, machine learning frameworks, and relational databases. Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning, forecasting, natural language processing, and advanced statistical modeling. Experience deploying or productionizing artificial intelligence and machine learning models.

Proficiency with Amazon Web Services, including tools such as S3, EC2, and SageMaker. Experience with big data technologies, Jupyter, Snowflake, Docker, and open-source data science tools and libraries. Familiarity with version control and project management tools, including Git, Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence. Knowledge of data governance and data management best practices.
