Chemical Analyst – Owensboro, KY At Philip Morris International (PMI), we're transforming our business to deliver a smoke-free future. Your Day-to-Day Perform analytical testing using gas chromatography (GC), ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC), and ion chromatography. Prepare and extract samples according to approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Conduct routine and non-routine microbiological testing. Review, interpret, and report analytical results using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). Maintain accurate records and documentation for analytical projects and testing activities. Support Production, Research & Development, Quality Assurance, and Leaf Operations. Ensure laboratory cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety standards. Assist Senior Analytical Chemists, Analytical Chemists, Senior Chemical Analysts, and Chemical Analysts as needed.

Develop and maintain SOPs for validated analytical methods and procedures. Apply method validation principles and ISO 17025 requirements in daily laboratory operations. Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned by the Chemical Analysis Supervisor or Manager.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or another scientific discipline, or equivalent experience. Minimum one year of experience as a Laboratory Technician or in a comparable laboratory role. Knowledge of chemical laboratory safety practices, analytical techniques, and testing methodologies. Knowledge of microbiological procedures and laboratory equipment. Ability to prepare clear, concise, and accurate reports. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity and product quality.

Must be able to work the following schedule

Saturday & Sunday (12:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.) and Monday & Tuesday (12:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.). Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Annual Base Salary Range

$73,600 - $92,000
