Environmental Specialist - Owensboro, KY At Philip Morris International (PMI), we're transforming our business and building a smoke-free future. Your Day-to-Day Support environmental compliance programs related to air, water, waste, and regulatory requirements. Assist with environmental inspections and audits. Coordinate hazardous waste shipments and related documentation. Support environmental goals, programs, and management systems.

Assist with investigations of environmental incidents and corrective actions. Provide guidance and training on environmental policies and best practices. Partner with employees, leaders, and external vendors to implement environmental initiatives. Maintain environmental records, reports, and compliance documentation. Support risk assessments and environmental improvement projects. Stay current on environmental regulations and industry practices.

Provide occasional weekend air monitoring and off-shift support as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Who We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety, or a related field required; equivalent experience may be considered. Environmental or safety certifications preferred. 1-3 years of environmental experience preferred. Experience supporting environmental reporting and compliance programs is a plus.

Familiarity with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization. Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer applications. Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and customer service focus. Legally authorized to work in the United States.
