Job description

About NetApp The market has shifted. AI is accelerating. The key to AI success is intelligent data and the infrastructure to manage it. Customers are urgently rethinking how they modernize, secure, and unlock value from their data. NetApp is built for this exact moment — with a differentiated platform, deep enterprise credibility, and a clear strategy to win. Joining NetApp now means operating in a high achievement environment where you are empowered to own every moment.

Our culture is grounded in three principles

innovate to elevate, drive results, excel as a team. These are more than words. They define how we show up, how we sell, and how we grow.

Position Overview

NetApp is hiring an Intern to join our Madrid-based Professional Services team, with a customer-facing focus on End User Services (EUS). Interns at NetApp make a difference and feel the impact of their work while developing their skills and confidence in a safe, supportive, and creative environment. This role combines hands-on technical work on cutting-edge, systems-oriented projects linking the cloud to the data center with desktop and end-user support.

You will help maintain good relationships with our internal business customers (and at times external customers), contribute directly to departmental goals and deliverables, and work as part of NetApp’s IT International team alongside senior engineers. Your core responsibility will be to help ensure that departmental objectives and task deadlines are met.

Your Responsibilities

Assist with managing the lab and demo systems used for post-sales activities: maintain and improve the lab, set up new environments, and control the stock of parts and demo systems. Participate in professional services projects and learn how to professionally deploy and administer NetApp storage solutions. Work on design, implementation, and verification of systems and subsystems. Support development and testing activities of other engineers, including work with several interdependencies.

Provide desktop support

troubleshoot business systems and software issues, taking ownership of user problems and resolving them proactively. Support the purchasing of IT equipment, mobile communications, and internal events. Communicate and collaborate with the local IT team and EMEA IT teams; support other countries when required. Explore new technology trends and products, such as DevOps tools, and investigate their application to NetApp’s business.

Be a valuable team member with real responsibilities and contributions, working effectively with senior engineers within the Business Unit.

Job Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish (level C1 or C2 in both languages); Catalan or Portuguese is a plus. Excellent technical skills with a background in Linux/Unix systems and IP networking. Knowledge of DevOps technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Ansible. Strong, proactive aptitude for learning new technologies and understanding how to use them in our environment. Creative approach to problem solving.

Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks concurrently, taking ownership of individual and assigned tasks and prioritizing the most critical. Works well within a team and independently. You will interact primarily with your line manager, the local IT team, and the EMEA IT team.

Start Date

4th January, 2027 At NetApp, we embrace a hybrid working environment designed to strengthen connection, collaboration, and culture for all employees. This means that most roles will have some level of in-office and/or in-person expectations, which will be shared during the recruitment process.
