Job description

• Responsible for promotion and implementation of the Group’s global / regional tax strategy and policy across EU countries, ensuring alignment with local statutory requirements.
• Stay current on regional and local tax legislation developments, assess potential impact on the business and communicate with internal stakeholders, and conduct regular tax trainings to the stakeholders.
• Lead / participate in local tax health check projects or tax audits initiated by the tax authorities, supported by external tax advisors as appropriate.
• Collaborate closely with finance, legal, and business teams to ensure tax-compliant and efficient structuring of transactions / operations and provide ad-hoc practical tax solutions.
• Monitor VAT compliance status of local entities across the EU; support review of VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, Intrastat filings, and other statutory submissions prepared by local entities; drive continuous improvement of the VAT compliance process.
• Asist in the implementation of the Group’s global tax digitalization initiatives (e.g., e-invoicing, SAF-T, real-time reporting) and coordinate rollout with local entities.
• Degree in Tax Law, Accounting, or Finance; a Master’s degree or professional qualification (e.g., Tax Advisor, CPA, CTA) is a plus
• At least 5 years of professional experience in EU VAT practice, preferably in an international setting
• Experience with VAT automation tools and tax digitalization projects (e.g., e-invoicing platforms, SAF-T reporting)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Outstanding communication and teamwork abilities, especially with the ability to communicate tax technical issues with non-tax professionals
• Independent and team-oriented working style
• Proficient in tax software and MS Office
• Multilingual skills (English required; additional EU language is a plus)
