Senior Network Engineer Manager

Description and Requirements The Core Network Team Lead will be accountable for transitioning MetLife Japan’s core network environment from the transformation phase into business-as-usual operations. This is a technology leadership role with delivery accountability, responsible for:

• Operationalizing the new Arista-based network architecture and effectively supporting customers of the Network & Infrastructure Group within the CTO organization
• Managing a dual-stack environment comprising the legacy Cisco network and the modern Arista data center network
• Expanding software-defined networking (SDN) capabilities and automation
• Defining next-generation network services for internal customers
• Building the network foundation required for AI, the All-Photonics Network (APN), and future computing paradigms
• Ensuring MLJ stakeholders fully understand the impact of rapidly changing and evolving network technologies, and supporting AI adoption and quantum computing solutions

This role positions the network not merely as infrastructure, but as a strategic platform.

It plays a particularly important role in:

• Ensuring the success of MetLife Japan’s network transformation investment
• Enabling automation, scalability, and service innovation
• Establishing the network foundation required for AI, HPC, and future technologies In short, this role will evolve the network from a simple connectivity layer into a strategic digital foundation.
