Sr Staff / Principal Application Engineer - System Software

Job description

MediaTek is looking for a software engineer with a strong background in embedded systems and the semiconductor industry. Our team partners closely with customers to deliver high-quality products, and the system software engineer will develop customized features and debug system issues side by side with customer engineers. Role and Responsibilities -Bring up new platform boards and independently verify major functions -Manage regular software releases and resolve multi-branch conflicts -Analyze, triage, and debug issues hands-on -Partner with customer engineers to resolve system issues and requests -Collaborate with the project management team to deliver software solutions to customers Minimum Qualifications -Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field -At least

• 3 years of C/C++ programming experience -At least
• 3 years of System-on-Chip (SoC) system software development experience -At least
• 3 years of experience with embedded operating systems (Linux, Android, Yocto, or RTOS) -Strong knowledge of common peripheral buses (I2C/SPI/UART/GPIO, USB, PCIe, SDIO, etc.) -Systematic problem-solving skills and effective technical communication -A proactive, positive attitude toward solving challenging and complex problems
