Hours

10pm - 6am Pay: $25-$30 an hour Are you someone who is looking for troubleshooting opportunities? Do you enjoy making decisions, solving problems and paying attention to details? Are you willing to get dirty to see the success of an exciting industry? Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Plant Maintenance Night Shift at our Columbia West Quarry in Columbia, MO.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in safety programs and trainings, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel culture Disassemble machines and remove parts for repairs using hand tools, chain falls, jacks or hoists
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear
• Collaborate with team members to repair moving machine parts for equipment or transport materials between work areas Lubricate machines, machine parts or other equipment according to standards Tend to equipment such as conveyors to move materials through production processes
• Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
• Perform welding and fabrication activities as needed
• Work in a team environment
• Clean work areas Proper wear of personal protective equipment
• Notify supervisors of repairs needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education and Experience: High school diploma, GED or equivalent Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred Previous maintenance experience preferred Valid US driver’s license Skills:

• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of MSHA regulations Effective written and verbal communication
• Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenance

Physical Abilities

• Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round
• Ability to work in elevated areas General physical activities include climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reach with hands and arms, and handling material ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Disclaimer: In addition to the primary responsibilities outlined, the successful candidate may be expected to take on other tasks and assignments as required, including but not limited to duties outside the typical scope of the role to support overall team operations and organizational needs.
