Assistant Accountant

Job description

Position As an Assistant Accountant, you will be a vital pillar of our finance operations, ensuring accurate and transparent financial records across multiple entities and Maisons. You will partner closely with commercial, retail, AR/AP, and cross-functional finance teams to maintain robust internal controls, streamline accounting workflows, and provide critical support for financial analysis and decision-making. The Position may extend to support duties in the spectrum of account receivable duties.

Job responsibilities General Ledger & Accounting Operations Handle daily transactional accounting, including journal entries, postings, and GL reconciliations. Ensure GL accuracy in close collaboration with AR and AP teams. Execute month-end and period-end closes, including accruals, trial balance reviews, and variance investigations. Maintain accurate records for inventory, fixed assets, rent, and major operating expenses.

Partner with Business Planning & Control on expense reviews and analysis. Regulatory Compliance, Controls & Systems Enforce company policies, internal controls, and GAAP/IFRS standards. Prepare documentation to support internal/external audits, statutory requirements, and tax reporting. Utilize ERP systems and finance tools to streamline accounting and reporting workflows. Financial Reporting & Stakeholder Support Prepare schedules, bank reconciliations, and reports for management and monthly Group reporting.

Manage cost allocations, revenue recognition, and inventory accounting. Provide financial data and insights to FP&A and commercial teams. Support sales rent audits, credit card machine controls, and ad-hoc process optimization projects.

Other Responsibilities

For Accounts Receivables, billings & receipts processing, collections & adjustments, deposits and credits management Support ad-hoc projects and analysis as required. Profile Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/ACCA preferred). 3+ years of experience in an accounting or audit role. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/finance systems. Solid knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Independent, adaptable team player capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Fluent in English with strong cross-functional communication skills.
