Project Engineer

Job description

Lead multidisciplinary engineering coordination activities for offshore oil & gas projects. Act as the focal point between Engineering Manager, Discipline Leads, Clients, and Project Execution teams. Monitor engineering progress and ensure timely issuance of engineering deliverables as per project schedule. Coordinate engineering deliverables across Process, Piping, Mechanical, Structural, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecom, Safety, and HVAC disciplines.

Ensure engineering deliverables comply with project specifications, company procedures, client requirements, and applicable international standards. Facilitate engineering review meetings, interdisciplinary reviews, model reviews, and technical workshops. Monitor engineering man-hour utilization, productivity, and resource loading. Identify engineering risks and implement mitigation measures to avoid delays and quality issues.

Coordinate technical query resolutions and engineering interface management. Review engineering schedules and ensure achievement of milestone dates. Manage engineering change requests, deviations, concession requests, and technical clarifications. Coordinate vendor document review activities and ensure timely closure of comments. Ensure engineering deliverables are issued with required quality checks and approvals. Support proposal, estimation, and bid activities from an engineering execution perspective.

Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, construction, hook-up, commissioning, and startup phases. Assist Engineering Manager in achieving engineering performance, quality, budget, and schedule objectives. Mentor junior engineers and support engineering capability development initiatives.
