Job description

Execute Heat Treatment Cycles

Oversee the specific heating and cooling processes for various materials, including quenching, tempering, annealing, and normalizing.

Monitor Furnace Parameters

Continuously check furnace temperatures, cooling rates, and cycle times to ensure parts achieve the desired physical, chemical, and mechanical properties.

Workflow Coordination

Liaise with the forging and machining departments to prioritize jobs and manage throughput efficiently.

Defect Troubleshooting

Investigate irregularities and non-conformities, using root cause analysis to reduce scrap rates and rework.

Calibration & Standards

Ensure all pyrometry, equipment, and instrumentation comply with industry and customer specifications.

Manpower Deployment

Delegate tasks to furnace operators and technicians and conduct hands-on training where necessary.

Safety & Environment

Enforce shop floor safety regulations, promote good housekeeping, and ensure a risk-free working environment.

Documentation

Maintain accurate daily records of production outputs, material movement, energy consumption, and product rejections.

Qualifications

Diploma in Engineering; Bachelor of Engineering (BE); Bachelor of Technology (BTech)
