Cleanroom Design (Semiconductor)

Job description

Responsible for the design, engineering, and performance optimization of semiconductor cleanroom facilities, ensuring controlled environments that meet stringent contamination control and process requirements. Develop and review cleanroom layouts, HVAC system designs, airflow distribution models, air change rate calculations, pressure cascade strategies, filtration systems, and environmental control specifications in compliance with industry standards such as ISO 14644 and client-specific requirements.

Perform airflow analysis, temperature and humidity control assessments, cleanroom classification studies, and contamination risk evaluations to support high-yield semiconductor manufacturing operations. Coordinate the design and integration of HVAC equipment, HEPA/ULPA filtration systems, make-up air units, exhaust systems, duct networks, and building automation controls. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, architectural, and facility engineers to ensure seamless project execution and system performance.

Participate in design reviews, constructability assessments, commissioning activities, validation testing, and troubleshooting efforts. Ensure compliance with cleanroom standards, environmental regulations, energy efficiency objectives, and safety requirements while maintaining optimal cleanliness levels, operational reliability, process stability, and sustainable facility performance throughout the project lifecycle.
