This position supports commercial growth opportunities, system expansions, capital projects, and ongoing operations through hydraulic modeling, engineering analysis, and system optimization. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with commercial, operations, project management, and engineering teams to develop practical and cost-effective solutions that maximize system performance, reliability, and capacity.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with commercial, operations, and project development teams to understand project requirements and develop effective engineering solutions that meet business objectives. Prepare preliminary designs and system configurations for natural gas, crude oil, and NGL gathering and transmission pipeline systems. Develop and maintain steady-state, transient, and real-time hydraulic models to evaluate system performance and operational capabilities.
Analyze pipeline and gathering system operations to identify constraints, optimize throughput, and resolve operational issues. Evaluate system expansion opportunities and infrastructure requirements based on production forecasts and market demands. Prepare engineering studies, technical reports, and presentations that communicate design alternatives, recommendations, and high-level cost estimates. Support the planning and execution of system modifications, capacity enhancements, and capital projects.
Provide technical support to operations personnel regarding system performance, troubleshooting, and optimization initiatives. Maintain accurate engineering models, databases, and system documentation. Foster effective working relationships across commercial, operations, project management, and engineering teams.
