Position Details

Hauling packaged windows and doors Some deliveries are to storage units and will be unattended Average 1 - 2 loads per week. Each load is out a different number of days depending on location. Miles will vary depending on the route - 1700-2700 The number of stops will vary depending on the route - it could only be 1 or 2 but some routes have up to 17. Trailers are preloaded.

Some loads will have backhauls to get back to Soft-Lite. Scanning of product required using a phone with Company DRIVE App. Required to work other J B Hunt accounts as needed Special Requirements: Drivers are required to unload windows and doors by hand and with the use of a specialty cart and dolly. Windows and doors are floor loaded on trailer. Windows weigh 45-80 lbs. Loads to Florida will have heavier windows, due to hurricane glass.

The account will provide equipment to move the heavier windows so the drivers do not have to move the windows themselves 75% of the trailers have lift gates. If the trailer does not have a lift gate, it will be a swing door and they will bump a dock, then assist unload Drivers need some experience driving in snowy conditions. Some delivery areas are tight and experienced backing is required.

Additional Details Company Uniforms (Shirts, Jackets, Hats) will be provided and required to be worn at all times when driving/delivering Passengers are not permitted. No slip seating Drivers can take the truck home if they have a safe/legal place to park Drivers on this regional job will operate east of the Rockies.
