POSITION DETAIL Driver will pick up and deliver preloaded loads of batteries from the Interstate Battery Distribution Center and deliver to other distribution locations throughout the Northeast Region. Trailers will be preloaded with pallets of customer batteries. Some stops will be customer unload, but most stops will be semi touch where the driver will need to utilize a liftgate and Electric pallet jack to offload the product.

Once unloaded, will be responsible for ensuring the load can safely travel for the remainder of the trip and for ensuring all paperwork is complete and accurate Combination of driver and receiver reload of the trailer with battery cores for the driver to return to domicile. Routes will vary from week to week. Drivers should be prepared to layover throughout the week a loads dictate. Back hauls and returns at the store level are required.

Automatic sleeper trucks that cannot be take home for time off Trucks are assigned. SPECIAL

REQUIREMENTS

Professional appearance and a high level of customer service is required. Covering vacations, illnesses, and surge is required. Required to assist other accounts when needed is required. Drivers on this regional job will operate in NY, MA, VT, NJ, DE, PA, ME, VA and MD.
