POSITION DETIALS Floater position

The Floater role provides operational support and coverage across the account as needed. Responsibilities include assisting with daily operations, covering planned and unplanned absences, supporting drivers and customers, and helping ensure continuity of service. Driver will be trained at the yard position as well as the local delivery position. When not in the yard position drivers will be outsources to other accounts making local deliveries.

Basic Shuttle driver responsibilities. Very fast paced environment. Moving trailers from Alburtis warehouse to and from Allentown warehouses.. As well as, in and out of docks. Spotting trailers to and from docks and yards. Keeping the yard orderly. Utilize the onboard computer for required moves and relay of information to/from the customer. Yard drivers will be working in all-weather environments. (hot and cold temperatures, rain, snow) Automatic daycabs.

Must have reliable transportation to and from work daily. Drivers will be required to work at other local dedicated accounts if volume is low on the yard.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Drivers could also make deliveries to customers locally. THIS POSITION REQUIRES A CLASS "A' LIC AND CLASS "A" T/T EXPERIENCE . Mandatory 6 day during surge season if needed ADDITIONAL INFORMATION SHUTTLE/ YARD POSITIONS ARE VERY PHYSICAL. Drivers are expected to climb in and out of daycabs many, many times per day. There is also a lot if walking, climbing (into and out of equipment), manual hooking and unhooking equipment, raising, and lowering landing gear.
