Duties may include, and are not limited to, the following: frequent contact with customer employees and contact with the motoring public at fuel stations and rest stops.

Position Details

Steel gate delivery, with expanded capabilities for other structures made from steel tubing (raised bed planters, fire rings, rodeo/arena equipment, fencing, etc.) Regional multi-stop loads delivering to the Northeast, Southeast, and Midwest areas Trailers are pre-loaded at the shipper (Tarter Gate Co. in Dunnville, KY) Required to do initial securement and re-secure between deliveries

At the receiver, customer will unload freight using forklifts with assistance from the driver See below for strapping/unloading procedures Receiver/customer will unload the freight 10% Live load 100% Live unload Cargo Securement/Unstrapping Procedures: Driver is required to inspect farm equipment for stability prior to unstrapping/loosening tie-downs Driver will unbuckle and remove heavy tie-down straps using leverage tools/winch bars to safely release tensioned equipment

Unload Process: Will be working near forklifts and heavy machinery during the unload process Required to work in tandem with the forklift operators to guide forks under elevated loads and ensure balanced lift points for uneven items Must ensure the drop areas are cleared of obstacles, debris, and personnel before staging offloaded equipment

Driver is required to stack and align agricultural gates, panels, and plastic storage tubs neatly for customer delivery or yard storage Driver is required to assist the customer with unloading.

Special Requirements

Ability to strap flatbed loads required All loads require strapping and re-strapping between deliveries Flatbed experience preferred J.B. Hunt Flatbed certification is required. The driver will be certified after being hired by J.B.
