Housekeeping Manager

Job description

Hilton Garden Inn Almaty is looking for a Housekeeping Manager to lead the housekeeping department, maintain exceptional cleanliness and service standards, manage budgets and resources, and develop a high-performing team. The role involves coordinating with other hotel departments, supporting renovation and improvement projects, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Responsibilities

Manage all housekeeping operations, including daily workflows, budgeting, forecasting, inventory control, and departmental procedures. Ensure high standards of cleanliness and service quality in guest rooms, public areas, restrooms, offices, and conference facilities. Coordinate with Engineering and other departments on renovation, modernization, and hotel improvement projects. Lead, motivate, and develop the housekeeping team through performance management, training, and employee recognition.

Monitor departmental performance and ensure efficient use of resources and cost control. Ensure compliance with sanitation, occupational health, and safety regulations, including the safe handling of cleaning chemicals. Collaborate effectively with Front Office, Engineering, Food & Beverage, and other hotel departments. Qualifications

2–3 years of experience in housekeeping, hotel operations, or a similar supervisory or management role. Proven experience leading a team and organizing housekeeping operations. Strong computer skills and familiarity with hotel operating systems; knowledge of Opera is an advantage. Good knowledge of cleaning standards and service procedures for guest rooms, public areas, and other hotel facilities. Understanding of budgeting, cost control, inventory management, and resource optimization.

Knowledge of sanitation standards, occupational health and safety requirements, and the safe handling of professional cleaning chemicals. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple hotel departments. A strong commitment to guest satisfaction, team development, and service excellence.
