Payroll Specialist - German Payroll

We’re looking for a Payroll Specialist (German Payroll) to join our ever-evolving Global Payroll team within Global Payments Europe and and help shape the future of global commerce. What you'll own Manage end-to-end payroll processing for Germany, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery in line with legislation and internal controls.

Act as the primary contact for payroll-related queries, providing expert guidance on payroll, taxes, social security contributions, and deductions. Partner with external payroll vendors to ensure service excellence, compliance, and adherence to agreed service levels. Perform payroll audits, reconciliations, and validations to maintain data accuracy across payroll and HR systems. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance payroll processes, controls, and employee experience.

What you'll bring 4+ years of experience managing German payroll , with strong knowledge of German payroll legislation, taxation, statutory reporting, and compliance requirements. Fluency in German and English , with the ability to communicate complex payroll matters clearly to a variety of stakeholders. Experience working with payroll providers, payroll systems, and HRIS platforms within a corporate or shared services environment.

Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, Pivot Tables, and lookup functions, with the ability to manage and interpret large data sets. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting time-sensitive deadlines. It's a bonus if you have Experience working in a multinational organization or global payroll environment. Exposure to payroll projects, system implementations, or process transformation initiatives.
