Our Opportunity Location

Solomon - Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

floating 8D6R (in-line with scheduled shutdowns) - FIFO ex. Perth Bring your mechanical fitting skills to Fortescue’s Solomon operations, where you’ll help maintain the fixed plant equipment that keeps production moving. This is a hands-on role for a safety-focused tradesperson who enjoys solving problems, working with pumps and contributing to a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain fixed plant assets to support safe, reliable operations and improve process efficiency. Work across wet and dry plant equipment, including pumps. Follow established processes and procedures while upholding Zero Harm principles. Bring behaviours that reflect Fortescue’s values to your day-to-day work. Work collaboratively, support colleagues and contribute to shared team goals.

Qualifications and Experience

Australian-recognised Mechanical Fitter trade certificate. Experience in a fixed plant processing environment, ideally across wet and dry plant. Practical familiarity with pumps and related equipment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A reliable, safety-focused approach and the ability to work well as part of a team.
