Our Opportunity Location

Solomon – Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

Roster

7D7N14R – FIFO ex Perth and Busselton Join Fortescue’s Ancillary Maintenance team at Solomon and help keep a diverse fleet of heavy mobile equipment operating safely and reliably. You’ll maintain and repair dozers, loaders, graders and other ancillary equipment, contributing to strong equipment availability and day-to-day operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned and breakdown maintenance on ancillary mobile equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults. Maintain dozers, loaders, graders and other equipment across the ancillary fleet. Complete workshop and field-based maintenance as required. Work with Mobile Maintenance teams to support scheduled work and equipment availability. Complete work orders and maintenance records accurately, following Fortescue safety standards and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

Australian-recognised Heavy Diesel Fitter or Diesel Mechanic trade qualification. Experience maintaining heavy mobile mining equipment. Broad hands-on experience with ancillary equipment such as dozers, loaders and graders. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills. Experience in mining or a similar heavy industry. A strong commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship.
