Overview

ServiceLink is seeking a hands-on Performance Engineer who owns our performance testing discipline from strategy through execution. Our platform runs on Microsoft Azure, and our engineering teams ship continuously — this role ensures every major release is validated for scale, reliability, and speed before it reaches production. You are the subject-matter authority on performance engineering across the organization. That means owning the load test framework, driving VuGen script quality, running LoadRunner Controller and Enterprise test cycles, and translating results into engineering action.

You'll also embed performance validation into CI/CD pipelines and mentor the engineers around you. Success here looks like every critical user journey having a published performance baseline, engineering teams that trust the data, and a release process where performance is never an afterthought. This is a hybrid role, and will be required to work in-office at our Plano, TX office at least 3 days per week. Candidates must be located within reasonable commuting distance of Plano, TX and be willing to work in-office on a regular basis. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.

A DAY IN THE LIFE In this role, you will… OPERATING MODEL (EXPECTED TIME SPLIT) Design, script, execute, and analyze load tests; maintain the LoadRunner/VuGen framework; integrate performance gates into pipelines70% hands-on engineering: Performance strategy, script reviews, mentoring engineers, architecture guidance on NFRs, tooling roadmap20% technical leadership: Performance reports, stakeholder findings presentations, documentation, and release readiness sign-off10% enablement and communication OUTCOMES YOU OWN Every critical user journey has a documented performance baseline maintained across release cycles

LoadRunner and VuGen scripts are production-quality, reusable, and version-controlled — not one-off runs Performance test execution is integrated into CI/CD pipelines with automated pass/fail quality gates Engineering teams receive clear, actionable performance reports — not raw metrics dumps Performance bottlenecks are identified and escalated before production impact, not after Deployment frequency and mean time to performance remediation improve measurably quarter over quarter
