PH - Recovery Driver Non-DOT PT-1

Job description

Responsible for the movement of packages and on-road support such as shuttling, bulk Pickup & Delivery (P&D), and priority service P&D recovery.

Essential Functions

Responsible for the physical loading, unloading and/or sorting of packages by hand, including lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying and placing, in a safe and efficient manner. Operator of company vehicles under 10,001lbs, performing shuttle functions and bulk P&D pick-ups. Delivering priority service recovery packages to customers.

Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED required Minimum Experience: Have at least one (1) year with an active driver’s license and driving experience Other Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be at least
• 21 years of age
• Strong driving record and will require a motor vehicle background review
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs, or over 50lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must be able to speak and read English well enough to communicate with others, follow work instructions, and recognize street numbers, addresses, highway signs and traffic control signals and devices
• Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations.

Non-covered safety-sensitive position.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to both customers and FedEx team members
• Must maintain neat appearance to represent the company
• Ability to satisfactorily complete required training framework and any other eligibility requirements Working Conditions: May drive in various weather conditions to various customer sites for package delivery
