Accountant – Group Financial Accounting (Ref.: ACC/CKHH) The CFO Office is responsible for serving the accounting and financial needs of the Head Office and coordinating the related services within the CK Hutchison Group. We are seeking detail-oriented professionals to join our Financial Reporting Team. This is a dynamic role offering exposure to complex global consolidations and financial reporting. You will support the Group’s financial integrity by assisting in the preparation of consolidated reports, and ensuring compliance with the highest reporting standards. Responsibilities: • Financial operations: Oversee assigned accounting functions, including the preparation of journal entries, maintenance of general ledgers, and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts for Head Office entities • Consolidation support: Assist in the Group’s consolidation process for quarterly, semi - annual and annual reporting cycles, ensuring data accuracy across diverse business units • Reporting & disclosure: Prepare supporting schedules and assist in preparing financial statement notes for interim and annual Group reports in accordance with IFRS Accounting Standards • Budgeting & analysis: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, providing preliminary variance analysis to identify key performance drivers • Compliance & research: Support senior team members in researching new accounting standards and benchmarking the Group’s financial presentation against prevailing market practices • Ad-hoc projects: Participate in special projects, including audit coordination. Depending on progress and team commitments, the role s may cross -train in broader Group consolidation and preparation work Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related disciplines • Graduate member or currently pursuing a professional qualification (e.g., HKICPA, ACCA, CPA) • A minimum of 3 years of experience in auditing or consolidation, ideally gained from a Big 4 / professional firm or a large- scale multinational corporation with multi- location operations • Solid understanding of IFRS Accounting Standards • Proficiency in MS Office (Advanced Excel is essential) • Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, or similar ERP/consolidation systems is a distinct advantage • Familiarity with graphical data presentation (e.g., Waterfall charts) is a plus • High level of accuracy and a meticulous approach to work • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and competence.
