Insurance Specialist - Internship (Summer 2027)

Our Insurance Specialist Internship offers a dynamic opportunity for students seeking hands-on experience in one of the nation’s most respected crop insurance companies. Interns will gain exposure to both the claims and marketing sides of the business through real-world projects, interactive classroom sessions, and mentorship from experienced professionals.

This 360-degree internship includes: Field experience in claims adjustment and underwriting Marketing and customer engagement projects Team-based assignments and problem-solving Classroom instruction and interaction with senior leadership This internship runs from June to early August 2027 and is located in Johnston, Iowa . Ideal Candidates We are seeking self-motivated, energetic, and results-oriented students who are pursuing degrees related to agriculture and marketing, including: Agriculture Related Degrees: Agribusiness Agricultural Economics Agricultural Studies Agronomy Agricultural Systems Technology Agricultural Education Crop and Soil Science Agricultural Communications Marketing-Related Degrees: Marketing Marketing Management Business Marketing Integrated Marketing Communications Digital Marketing Advertising and Marketing Communications Students who have completed their junior year are preferred.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in one of the agriculture/marketing-related fields listed above Minimum 3.0 GPA required

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Willingness to travel locally as needed Eagerness to learn new systems, contribute to projects, and grow professionally
