Job description

American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc. seeks Managers, Delivery Management to drive technology product delivery across platforms, domains, and lines of business, mitigating against impediments and risks to ensure timely product delivery.

Responsibilities

Plan releases and set product development timelines, liaising with Product Management and Engineering teams. Prioritize release of new products across multiple lines of business. Facilitate software product development and testing, ensuring compliance with Software Development Lifecycle requirements. Align internal product delivery schedules with senior leadership and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience with release planning, product delivery, and software integration across business units within the financial industry. Experience must include 1 year of experience with each of the following: Software design, development, testing, and implementation; Driving product delivery using

Agile, Kanban, and Scrum methodologies; Managing impediments, risks, and dependencies to facilitate product releases; Agile rapid application development and CI/CD; API development; and Apache Hadoop, Apache HBase, Bitbucket, Confluence, DB2, GitHub, Hive, Java, Jenkins, JIRA, JSON, JUnit, Maven, Microservices, PEGA Case Management Tool (Pegasystems), Oracle, Postman, Python, Rally, REST APIs, SOAP, Spark, Splunk, SQL Server, Sybase, Teradata, TOAD for Oracle.

Telecommuting is available up to 2 days per week.
