Job description

We are building a new AI-native security product from the ground up.

This is a 0-to-1 effort

no legacy codebase, no inherited architecture, no predefined constraints. You will own the technical direction, write the foundational code, and ship directly to customers as part of a small, high-autonomy team.

Strong software engineering fundamentals, you write clean, testable, production-grade code

Comfort operating in ambiguity, this is a new product with open design questions, not a mature service with established runbooks

Experience building systems where both speed and correctness matter

Genuine interest in security, AI/ML, or ideally both

Bias toward solving hard problems

A desire to own outcomes, not just contribute to them

This is a rare opportunity at Amazon

a small team, a greenfield product, genuine ownership, and a problem space at the intersection of AI and security that is only growing in importance. If you want to look back in two years and say "I built that," this is the role.

Key job responsibilities

Design and build core product infrastructure from scratch

Own end-to-end delivery of features, from system design through production deployment

Work directly with customers and security researchers to shape product direction

Build AI/ML capabilities into the product's foundation, not as an afterthought

Operate what you build, with full ownership of availability and performance
