We at Yara are part of a global network, collaborating to profitably and responsibly solve some of the world's key challenges - resource scarcity, food insecurity and environmental change. About the Role Join Yara’s Corporate HESQ regulatory compliance Center of Excellence and help the organization understand, anticipate and act on evolving requirements. In this global expert role, you will translate complex health, environment, safety and quality regulations into clear business actions—strengthening compliance, managing risk and enabling responsible decisions across functions and geographies.

What you will do

  • Monitor and interpret HESQ legislation, standards and regulatory developments, assessing their relevance and business impact.
  • Translate applicable requirements into practical procedures, controls and implementation actions.
  • Operate and continuously improve the regulatory compliance process, from identification and assessment through communication and follow-up.
  • Advise management, operational teams and other functions on obligations, risks and appropriate responses.
  • Provide regulatory expertise for permits, registrations, notifications, submissions, reports and compliance records.
  • Identify and escalate significant risks, gaps and emerging issues, and support effective mitigating actions.
  • Support audits, inspections, regulatory reviews and investigations, including root-cause analysis and closure of corrective actions.
  • Build regulatory capability through training and guidance, and embed requirements early in projects, product changes and business initiatives. What you bring
  • A master’s degree in chemistry, chemical sciences or engineering; other relevant education may be considered alongside strong experience.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance and a track record of helping an organization adapt to regulatory change.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience contributing to projects.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to turn technical requirements into clear advice.
  • A collaborative, flexible approach and confidence working across disciplines, cultures and stakeholder groups.
  • Strong IT and digital skills, including analytical tools and data management. Additional Information

You will work closely with Product Compliance, Quality, HESQ, Sales and Marketing, Production, Legal, Supply Chain and other business functions worldwide. Externally, you will engage with suppliers, EU and national authorities, and industry associations. The role has global scope and involves normal business travel. This position is preferably based in Oslo or Brussels, but we are open to consider other European locations.
