Job description

SUMMARY

The Bead/Glazer is responsible for making sure that the plastic around the window is put in place so that it is not short from the corner. It also must be in good condition and not scratched. The Bead/Glazer must be moving fast in the production line.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Comply with Westlake Safety Policies . Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility. Provide safety leadership in promoting and creating a zero-injury safety culture. Evaluate the requirements needed to complete small glazing projects. Performs various tasks including strenuous manual labor in the heavy lifting of window and glazing products. Apply plastic sealant to the window. Thoroughly inspect job materials, ensuring the products are the correct size & style, and that there is no obvious product damage or flaws on products required to complete the job.

Fabrication of frames. Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Installation of glazing sealants on the window. EDUCATION , EXPERIENCE AND

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent is a plus Manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred) Must be able to work well in a team environment. Ability to work with and understand hand tools. Ability to distinguish basic colors. Ability to read the tape measure accurately. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The employee should possess the ability to: Prolong ed standing for up to 12 hours performing shift work or in a stationary position. Complete repetitive movements.

Bend or twist. Wear all the required personal protective equipment. Handle, control or feel objects, tools, or controls. Lift/move up to 50 pounds. Remove or replace items up to 50 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT The employee should possess the ability to: Be exposed to temperature extremes inside or out. Work in constant noise above 85 decibels .
