CNC Machine Operator - Jackson Location

Job description

How will you make a difference? As a CNC Machine Operator, you will follow specified work instructions and/or engineering parts drawings to assemble a wide variety of products. You will be responsible for the quality of your work, and meeting production standards. You will continually look for ways to improve our production processes and make Safety your #1 priority every day. What will your typical day look like? Set stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.

Position workpiece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade. Pushes buttons or depress pedal to activate machine. Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction. Measures workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation. Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from workpiece with a powered hand tools. Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or workpieces.

Perform minor program changes , properly save and check them. You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

Qualifications

What do we want to know about you? Do you have the following required skills and education? High School Graduate or GED. 1+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment. Ability to read and comprehend industrial blueprints. Must possess the ability to use tools and equipment that are needed to perform the assembly operations in an industrial setting. Must have good listening and communication skills.

Vision abilities include close and distance vision, color distinction, and observe small handwriting, labels, and components. Employees are always required to wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the facility including steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and ear plugs.
