Electronics Design Engineer

Job Summary

The Electronics Design Engineer will work with the hardware development team to design and support the Vertiv management platforms.

Responsibilities

• Use CAD tools to enter schematics and design electronic hardware Debug electronic hardware using standard lab tools
• Assist in sustaining shipping products by evaluating alternate electronic components Creating technical documentation leading to physical electronic hardware
• Develop design simulations that will ensure success with new hardware
• Develop low-level applications for basic processor functionality Requirements : Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering Motivated self-starter, with a high capacity for learning and meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to work with other engineers in a team environment Interested in designing electronic devices Good verbal and written communication in English Working knowledge of laboratory equipment, oscilloscope, logic analyzer Understanding of schematic entry tools required Basic understanding of standard electronic communication protocols; ethernet, USB, I2C, SPI, PCIe, etc. required Basic understanding of design and operation of embedded compute platforms required Understanding of Verilog HDL, a plus Understanding of Mentor Graphics schematic entry, a plus Understanding of simulation tools, such as Hyperlynx, a plus Understanding of C, C++, or assembly language, a plus Understanding of basic EMI principles, a plus #LI-RB1
