Summary

We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Lifting Specialist located in Cameron, LA. The Lifting Specialist reports to the Operations Project Director and will be responsible for administering the organization’s lifting program for equipment specific to various Venture Global LNG Facilities. This position will report to the Turnaround Mananger General Description

Duties & Responsibilities

• Apply expertise of lifting operations to effectively administer a reliable and safe lifting program
• Administer inspection certification program for all rigging and lifting gear
• Ensure appropriate lift-specific equipment is available and well-maintained with efficient storage and labeling Institute processes and procedures for maintain compliance in CFR, OSHA and ANSI for lifting gear and operations
• Executes and oversees all lifting operations from conceptual planning to execution and demobilization
• Monitors costs for in/out lifts and transports, gain stakeholder buy in and approvals Drafts lift plans, and the required details thereof, as needed for various scopes of work related to Ops Projects
• Presents lift plan details for understanding for Permit to Work, Teams, and Leadership
• Interprets lift plans and performs load calculations Coordination with engineering to ensure appropriate ground bearing pressures prior to any and all lifts
• Manage subcontracted lifting services for each lift as needed
• Monitor and inspect all subcontracted lift equipment, ensure compliance with applicable regulations, licensure, including operator certification and capabilities
• Guides the Maintenance, Operation and Construction teams in operational readiness for logistics, setup, inspection, radius swing requirements, barricading, and staging for routine and critical lifts
• Proficiency in time management of lifting assets and operator qualifications
• Coordinates and liaises with facilities for identifying, monitoring, and resolving issues relating to lift criteria
• Support continuous improvement initiatives Support Lessons Learned debriefs as needed
• Monitor competency of qualified operators and rigger certifications Qualifications Required experience NCCER or NCCCO Rigging 1 with 12+ years of experience NCCER or NCCCO Rigging 2 with 10+ years of experience
• Must be with hands on and heavy crane and lifting experience
• Must have experience with managing projects related to crane and rigging industry
• Ability to present lifting plans to stakeholders by use of Microsoft tools, Adobe Pro and XL Required Education n/a Licensing & Certifications NCCER or NCCCO Rigging 1 to 2 with years of experience Venture Global LNG is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
