Packaging Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Packaging Loop Definition: Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to establish packaging concepts, substitution models, and total loop sizes.

Supplier & Technical Specifications

Write technical requirements for packaging manufacturers as well as packaging washing/maintenance suppliers.

Milestone & Schedule Management

Drive design reviews, track prototypes, validate tooling, and ensure all activities meet strict program deadlines up to SOP + 6 months.

Logistics & Flow Optimization

Calculate operational logistics requirements (floor space, shuttle flows, handling costs) and integrate packaging data into SAP.

Process & Pricing Setup

Work with Sales to finalize customer selling prices for packaging and create standard working instructions for warehouse operations.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Experience: Background in packaging engineering, industrial logistics, or automotive supply chain management.

Languages

Negotiation-level English proficiency (written and spoken) is required to manage international customers and suppliers.

Skills

Strong project coordination and tracking capabilities to handle design changes and resolve planning bottlenecks.

Mobility

Willingness for frequent business travel, primarily to other Valeo sites Tools: Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
