Job description

At U.S. Bancorp India, we’re on a journey to do our best. We believe it takes all of us to bring our shared ambition to life, and each person is unique in their potential. A career with U.S. Bancorp India gives you a wide, ever-growing range of opportunities to discover what makes you thrive at every stage of your career. Try new things, learn new skills and discover what you excel at—all from Day One.

Role Overview

The GCC Digital & Product Delivery Leader is accountable for building and leading U.S. Bank's Digital and Product Delivery capability in India. This is an enterprise role. The leader will establish and scale fully-stacked product, agile and experience design teams that serve business lines across the bank rather than any single line of business. This is a build role as much as a leadership role. Product management, agile ways of working and experience design capability at the scale and maturity the bank requires are not widely established in the Chennai market.

The leader will be expected to evangelize the discipline, attract and develop talent, and set the standards, career paths and ways of working that will define the capability as it grows. In the near term, the leader will also serve as the Consumer Digital Product Lead while the organization scales. Additional leadership layers will be introduced as volume and complexity justify them, not before.

Key Responsibilities

Capability Building and Organizational Leadership Establish the Digital and Product Delivery capability in the GCC, covering product management, agile ways of working and experience design across all supported business lines. Lead, coach and develop a team of six senior leaders spanning Product, Agile and Design, building the leadership bench beneath them as the organization scales. Champion product management as a discipline in the India market, building the bank's reputation as a destination for product, agile and design talent.

Define role standards, capability frameworks and career paths that support consistent hiring, development and progression. Partner with Talent Acquisition and HR to attract, assess and retain talent in a market where these skill sets are in short supply and highly competitive. Delivery and Business Partnership Ensure GCC-based teams deliver against the product roadmaps and outcomes owned by U.S.-based business and product leadership.

Serve as the senior point of accountability in India for Digital and Product Delivery, building trusted relationships with U.S. business line leaders, Technology and the Enterprise Data Office. Maintain continuity of delivery through the transition of work from vendor-based models to the GCC, minimizing disruption to business partners. Balance line-of-business alignment with enterprise consistency, ensuring teams support specific business partners while operating to common standards.

Ways of Working and Standards Embed the bank's Product Model and Shield Ways of Working across GCC teams, ensuring consistency with U.S.-based practice. Establish common approaches to prioritization, OKRs, quarterly planning and performance measurement. Drive reusability of capabilities and platforms to improve speed to market and cost efficiency. Coordinate with Technology and Operations leadership in the GCC to ensure integrated, cross-functional delivery.

Scale, Governance and Risk Plan and execute the growth of the capability through 2027 and beyond, working within enterprise workforce planning and funding processes. Operate within Indian regulatory and labor requirements, including workforce entitlement, shift and site attendance obligations. Ensure adherence to the bank's risk, compliance and control expectations, and partner with Risk and Audit as the GCC control environment matures.

Manage cost and headcount to plan, contributing to the efficiency objectives underpinning the GCC model.

Basic Qualifications

Significant experience leading digital product management, product delivery or equivalent functions at enterprise scale. Demonstrated experience leading leaders, including building and scaling multi-disciplinary teams. Experience operating in a global delivery, GCC or captive center environment. Deep working knowledge of agile ways of working and modern product operating models.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Experience establishing a new capability, function or center, including hiring at pace in a competitive talent market. Strong understanding of the India talent market for product, agile and experience design roles. Ability to influence senior stakeholders across geographies without direct authority. Financial services or other regulated industry experience, with working knowledge of risk and control expectations. Expertise in the interdependencies among product model elements, and the ability to design solutions that synchronize resources to achieve business results using business metrics, KPIs, design systems, service blueprints and reusability.

Strong customer centricity, with the ability to anticipate shifting market priorities and customer needs in a way that consistently adds value. Experience managing organizational change, including transitions of work between delivery models. If there’s anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our disability accommodations for applicants . Posting may be closed earlier due to high volume of applicants.

This is an U.S. Bancorp India posting. U.S. Bancorp India is a part of the U.S. Bank family.
