Sierra Vista Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Intern for the Pharmacy Department. Position Summary

Seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support operations, primarily covering weekend day shifts with occasional weekday availability.

Key Responsibilities

Medication Distribution & Automated Systems: Conduct routine rounds of hospital medication rooms and restock Omnicell Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs).

Packaging & Inventory Management

Repackage unit-dose medications, manage pharmacy inventory (including expiration tracking and patient-owned medications), and support ordering processes.

Operational Support

Assist the pharmacist on duty with daily operations, ensuring strict compliance with facility policies, TJC standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited Pharm.D. program (Graduation class of 2027–2029; P1 students eligible).

Licensure

Active or pending California Intern Pharmacist license.
