Digital Asset Onboarding Specialist

Job description

Are you highly organized, risk conscious and confident advising stakeholders on complex onboarding matters? Do you have hands-on experience with AML/KYC, client due diligence and digital asset risk? Are you comfortable connecting traditional wealth management requirements with emerging risks in crypto exchanges, wallets and blockchain-based activity?

We’re looking for someone like that to:

– Act as a senior Digital Asset Onboarding Specialist and subject matter expert for complex onboarding cases involving digital assets, crypto exchanges, virtual asset service providers, custodians and other digital asset-related counterparties

– Own and coordinate end-to-end onboarding activities, ensuring client information, supporting documentation, risk assessments and approvals are completed accurately, consistently and within agreed turnaround times

– Advise client advisors, market teams and business partners on onboarding requirements, expected evidence, risk considerations and escalation paths for digital asset-related cases

– Conduct risk-based AML/KYC and client due diligence reviews, including enhanced due diligence where required, with particular focus on source of wealth/source of funds, wallet exposure and digital asset-specific red flags

– Review and interpret blockchain analytics outputs using tools such as Elliptic, Chainalysis or similar market tools, and translate findings into clear risk narratives for business, compliance and approval forums

– Coordinate with Financial Crime Prevention / Compliance, Operations and other control functions to resolve onboarding issues, obtain sign-offs and ensure decisions are properly documented

– Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize and improve digital asset onboarding processes, controls, templates and stakeholder experience while maintaining strong risk discipline
