SUMMARY

This position is responsible to assist in controlling expenses; provide for the compliance and coordination of the federal meat inspection and OSHA requirements; interpret and enforce company policies; assist in the determination of manpower needs and makes recommendations; prepare and maintain prescribed records and reports to ensure that they reflect conditions accurately; solve problems in an effective manner with sound follow up; work with department heads to meet production quality yields and goals while at the same time ensuring the maintenance of labor standards and quality of performance and product; inspect and maintain a high degree of competence in the areas of housekeeping safety sanitation and security; supervise production supervisors; and oversee all designated shift operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent college degree preferred.

Experience

3-5 years of related industry, 1-3 years of supervisory experience preferably in a meat processing facility and knowledge of OSHA, USDA, and HACCP regulations.

Standard computer skills Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Travel: 0 - 10 Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage subordinate supervisors who supervise team members in the plant; carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization s policies and applicable laws; interview hire and train team members; plan assign and direct work; monitor and appraise work performance; reward coach counsel and discipline team members; address complaints and resolve problems.

Special Skills

Knowledge of OSHA, USDA, HACCP, Safety, Security, Sanitation, Quality, yields cost and efficiencies. Strong math ability is a plus. All professional team members are expected to demonstrate responsible use of approved AI tools, including safeguarding sensitive information, adhering to company policies, and validating AI-generated outputs. Individual Contributors should demonstrate the ability to integrate AI into daily work, improve efficiency through AI-enabled solutions, evaluate outputs critically, and apply professional judgment when using AI.

People Leaders should demonstrate the ability to drive responsible AI adoption, enable effective use of approved solutions, identify opportunities to improve team performance through AI, and ensure accountability for the quality and accuracy of AI-supported outcomes.
