Treaty Operations Manager Location

Bermuda Position Type: Permanent Working Arrangement; Office HCC Re Agency Ltd (HCC Re”) are seeking Treaty Operations Manager to ensure the smooth set up and day-to-day running of the new Bermuda Office (“HCC Re”) & to provide support to the Underwriting Team based in Bermuda & Head of Treaty Reinsurance Operations based in London. HCC Re, will be the Bermuda operating entity in support of the parent company, Tokio Marine HCC (“TMHCC”).

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with the Head of Treaty Reinsurance Operations to establish governance frameworks, risk management parameters, and internal audit controls in partnership with the Underwriting Team (both Bermuda & London) and Compliance Team. Ensure guidelines, risk appetite, capacity allocation & exposure management is adhered from a corporate + Bermuda & London underwriting perspective. Support the Head of Treaty Reinsurance Operations in the day to day running + development / implementation of the Treaty Reinsurance Team reporting & underwriting systems (Corporate & Internal) using AI, Power BI, Microsoft Excel whilst liaising with various London Market support teams.

Liaise with I.T, BI, Innovation & London Market Operational Change Teams to ensure all corporate enhancements are communicated and implemented smoothly and any improvements made by the Treaty Reinsurance Team adhere to corporate measures / standards. Be the main point of contact for any corporate system updates & changes ensuring all information is relayed back to the team in a clear and concise way. Ensure a high-performance, compliant, and collaborative culture within the new office, aligning local team dynamics with global corporate values.

Support Underwriters to ensure LOB Bordereau’s are up to date and complete liaising with the Head of Treaty Reinsurance Operations when required. Provide general administrative support to the Underwriters, including: Producing renewal reports and any other ad-hoc reports using ERS/SBS Ensuring inwards and outwards reconciliations are managed accurately and timely Assist with ad-hoc Underwriting projects / Team projects.

Assist with ad-hoc PEGA Tasks.

Skills and Experience

Specification Essential High level IT / BI skill set & proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications (including SQL / VBA)

• Strong maths skills Very focussed with strong organisational skills
• Knowledge of reinsurance contract wordings an advantage
• Ability to work under pressure and long hours if required A calm individual with excellent communication skills AI skills desirable Pega / ERS knowledge desirable
