Mortgage Operations Analyst Location: Chennai Experience: 1–5 Years Employment Type: Full-Time Shift: US Shift / Rotational Shift About the Role We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Mortgage Operations Analyst to support end-to-end mortgage processes including loan origination, processing, underwriting support, and closing. The candidate will play a key role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of mortgage files.

Key Responsibilities

Review and process mortgage loan applications (Purchase, Refinance, HELOC). Validate borrower details including income, credit history, assets, and employment. Perform thorough document review and ensure completeness of loan files. Work on Loan Origination Systems (e.g., Encompass) for data entry and tracking. Support underwriting decisions by analyzing financial and credit documents. Coordinate with internal teams (Underwriters, Closers) and external vendors.

Ensure adherence to US mortgage regulatory guidelines and compliance standards. Identify discrepancies and follow up for missing or incorrect documentation. Maintain productivity, quality benchmarks, and SLA adherence. Assist in post-closing reviews, QC checks, and audit processes.

Required Qualifications

Graduate in any discipline (Commerce/Finance preferred). 1–5 years of experience in US Mortgage (Processing/Underwriting/Servicing). Good understanding of the mortgage lifecycle (Origination to Closing).

Strong knowledge of loan types

Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA. Experience with LOS systems like Encompass or similar platforms. Familiarity with income calculation, credit analysis, and document verification.
