Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency ) Must-Have Strong experience in Java 8+ and Spring Boot . Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services . Hands-on experience or strong understanding of microservices architecture . Working knowledge of Spring Boot-based service development , API integration, exception handling, logging, and validation. Good understanding of SQL, relational databases, JPA/Hibernate .
Experience in writing unit tests using JUnit/Mockito or similar frameworks . Experience with Git and standard development practices. Basic understanding of OOP, data structures, design principles, and clean coding practices . Good-to-Have Experience with Spring Cloud, API Gateway, Config Server, Eureka/Service Discovery . Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP . Basic knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes . Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ .
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines , Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc. Exposure to monitoring/logging tools such as ELK, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus. Basic understanding of Spring Security, OAuth2, JWT . Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI documentation. </table
