JOB SUMMARY

This position controls and monitors freight and inventory levels using the most cost-effective methods.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for all receiving and inventory adjustments to assure correctness and entry into the mainframe. Liable for the slotting and assigning of all new items in the warehouse, assuring the correctness of the information in the mainframe and that warehouse slots are labeled correctly. Keep warehouse manager informed, as needed, of potential problems and changes. Responsible for notifying customer service of potential outs.

Complete inventory and warehouse report daily. Manage and direct all physical inventories as called for under SYGMA guidelines and directives. Works closely with all departments regarding merchandise received, new items, all inventories, to assure a continuous flow of information. Adhere to cycle count program. Adhere to hazard analysis and critical control point (HACCP) and material safety data sheet (MSDS) guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education High school diploma/GED. Prefer 4-year college degree in a related discipline.

Experience

3 years of inventory control experience and warehouse/manufacturing experience. Experience using K1 systems Physical Demand Work is light to medium in nature with frequent walking to perform assigned tasks. You must be able to communicate clearly with warehouse colleagues. Physical inventories involve periods of prolonged standing. Mental/Visual Demand You must be able to read text that is close and at a distance with or without correction.

In addition, must be able to perform a manual task, hear, sit, reach, lift, bend, and interact with others. Working Condition Hazardous conditions may exist, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current and working in high places.
