Job Description

Lead and manage a team of Physical Design Application Engineers supporting Synopsys implementation solutions across strategic semiconductor customers. Drive technical excellence, customer success, and business growth by ensuring high-quality support, successful deployments, and strong customer relationships. Partner closely with customers, sales, product management, and R&D organizations to define technical strategies and address critical customer requirements.

Provide leadership for technical campaigns, customer escalations, methodology development, and adoption of next-generation Physical Design technologies. Coach, mentor, and develop team members while building a strong pipeline of technical talent and future leaders. Drive operational excellence through effective resource planning, prioritization, service quality management, and performance execution. Contribute to long-term business strategies that expand customer engagement, strengthen competitive positioning, and accelerate technology adoption.

Key Skills & Experience

8+ years of experience in ASIC Physical Design, Design Implementation, or Application Engineering. 2+ years of leadership, team management, or technical leadership experience. Strong expertise in Physical Design implementation methodologies including Floorplanning, Placement, CTS, Routing, Timing Closure, Signoff, and PPA optimization. Deep understanding of Synopsys Physical Design solutions, including Fusion Compiler, ICC2, PrimeTime, StarRC, IC Validator, and AI-driven technologies.

Proven ability to lead customer engagements, manage escalations, and drive successful business outcomes. Experience supporting advanced technology nodes and complex SoC implementation projects. Strong people leadership, coaching, and talent development capabilities. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Passion for innovation, customer success, team development, and operational excellence.
